This week over 55,000 petitions from gun owners all over South Carolina were delivered to SC State Representative Jonathan Hill. The petitions were from gun advocates Palmetto Gun Rights and the National Association of Gun Rights calling for passage of H.3456, The SC Constitutional Carry Act of 2019.

Representative Hill said, “I spent a big part of this week meeting with the National Association of Gun Rights, Palmetto Gun Rights, and House and Senate allies.” Hill said, “We have worked out a viable plan to get the pro-gun Constitutional Carry bill passed this year.”

Elected Representatives of the House and Senate were delivered petitions from the voter base in their districts calling for passage of the Constitutional Carry bill. Hill’s desk was covered over by a mountain of petitions demanding immediate action on Constitutional Carry.

“Let that number sink in for a minute. The voice of 55,000 patriots echoed in the halls of our state Capitol, demanding that our basic right to self-protection be restored in South Carolina,” said Hill.

“I am proud of my state and sincerely thank each and every person who signed these petitions to make their voices heard by the political establishment,” said Hill. He continued “the work is not done yet! We can’t take our foot off the gas now! We need to take this momentum we have built and double down even harder!”

“We are heading into the hottest part of this fight,” Hill said. “We’re going to need more signatures to pass Constitutional Carry this year.”
