OBITS
As some of The Standard readers may know this writer had the Covid virus this past spring. At that time my Dr. prescribed the Dr. Vladimir Zev Zelenko formula medicine protocol I needed and I was back in good health in a brief time. Then, later in the summer I had the Covid variant and suffered a tough battle with that raging tiger monster for over six weeks. It was probably the worst sickness I have ever had! With this latest episode I made a trip to the hospital for outpatient care and then had lots of home treatment.
This writer now has the antibodies of a champion virus fighter and is back in the saddle again. Unfortunately, that is not the same outcome for many of those I counted as my friends.
During my illness which was from mid-July until around September first, five of my personal friends succumbed to Covid related disease and what many think was maltreatment of them while they were in the hospital setting. Those friends entered the hospital with a reasonable expectation of proper care and a return to good health. Unfortunately, these passed within a three week period following an extended stay in the hospital ICU ward on a ventilator. Those friends who passed away were: Jerry Skipper (74) passed August 13th, Eddie McCain (61) passed August 16th, Pressley Stutts (64) passed August 19th, Tom Moore (73) August 27th, and Jack Marlar (72) passed on September 3rd. Not all of these were on a ventilator or in ICU at the time of their passing, but those who weren’t had recently been in ICU and on a ventilator, and passed immediately following removal from such.
I can’t speak to the exact treatment they received but according to the families and lawyers of those who passed they were refused requested and preferred treatment while on their ‘death bed’. The requested and preferred treatment included FDA approved medications considered “off label” not specifically indicated for treatment of Covid patients. Even the FDA says on their website that “once the FDA approves a drug, healthcare providers generally may prescribe the drug for an unapproved use when they judge that it is medically appropriate for their patient.” The FDA goes on to say “you may have tried all approved treatments without seeing any benefits. In situations like these, you and your healthcare provider may talk about using an approved drug for an unapproved use to treat your disease or medical condition.”
Instead of following the written FDA advice concerning using “off label” drugs the hospital authorities and medical staff continued using protocols recommended by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) which The Standard was told were not being effective. Among those medications and healthcare treatments the patients requested were Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine which are FDA approved but not specifically for Covid. These “off label” drugs were recommended by Dr. Zelenko and used effectively in the treatment of President Trump in 2020, and many thousands of others since then.
Many of the friends and family of the deceased are saying the hospital protocols resulted in the needless loss of life of their loved one. It also created a void that only those who passed away could fill as husband, father, son, grandfather, friend, provider, etc. Attorneys for the deceased are preparing to discover in the courts if these deaths were avoidable.
This is not just an opinion from upset people or a passing mood of those friends and family members. Since the passing of these men there have been several rallies, prayer vigils and protests in front of Lexington, Greenville, and Spartanburg hospitals in SC where they lost their lives. These same type protests and rallies have also taken place in Charlotte. These protests are all a result of the high death rates flowing from what most of the people are calling maltreatment—and worse—in the hospital.
At least one of these deaths was a result of someone checking into a hospital for non-Covid related care and once in the hospital acquiring the Covid disease. Later only to be placed in ICU on a ventilator and ultimately never exit the hospital alive.
There are many good people who work in hospitals and healthcare, in my opinion they are unfortunately caught up in a political health quagmire at this time. Because of this political entanglement many are leaving healthcare and hospitals, and some are being fired for refusing to cooperate with mal-care or what they think are bad protocols.
In Addition, many of these hospitals are requiring healthcare personnel to get the Covid19 vaccine to keep their job! There have been several instances where we can see extreme prejudice in some healthcare personnel who have the attitude that those who have not taken the Covid vaccine are somehow ‘not worthy’ of treatment. Some have said that it is a ‘waste of the hospital bed’ to allow those not vaccinated to enter for treatment. This violates the Hippocratic Oath if they have even taken it. One wonders if these workers have the same attitude towards those who are overweight, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol excessively, takes illegal drugs, etc. Healthcare professionals are in the business of supplying care for whomsoever needs it, not to make politicized moral judgments on people who come for healthcare.
The religious exemptions that many nurses and doctors have been granted in the past are being rejected by these same hospitals. As a result, many thousands are being fired for non-performance related reasons. This writer knows many fine people who work as healthcare professionals as Doctors and nurses who weathered the storm of Covid last year and proclaimed as heroes. They have sacrificed much this year also only to be turned out to pasture as somehow ‘unclean’ under the specter of tyrannical new Covid requirements. It seems they are being kicked in the face with this latest round of “14 days and it’ll be over” tyranny. The real losers are the people who need healthcare by conscientious professionals who don’t just “follow orders” but seek to find the real problem and provide quality care for their patients.
Loss of trust
The Standard will be reporting on these issues more in depth as they surface. Until then, we mourn the loss of our friends and for their family members who have lost life needlessly in the hospital. We also mourn the loss of trust that has previously been placed in hospitals and some healthcare professionals who seem to be ignoring the science not approved on the evening news. The loss of trust is monumental as many people I have spoken with recently have promised never to enter a hospital again—both practicing and retired medical professionals.
Many of us have vowed that our friends will not have died in vain! We who survived will expose corruption and maltreatment wherever it takes place.
