Moses holding the Ten Commandments is the central figure in a frieze over the US Supreme Court building in Washington, DC.

And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. — Exodus 1:15-17

The first thing that sticks out to me in this verse is that the Hebrew midwives “feared God”. Apparently Pharaoh  had a fear of too many slaves being dangerous to his control and decided that those lives were not worthy of life. Without a healthy fear of the Almighty God of the Bible men and women will do just about anything they want with no care for what God nor man thinks. As we see later in the book of Exodus, that put Pharaoh in a very dangerous position because he defied what the LORD had said concerning making themselves a god before him.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” — Ecclesiastes 12:13
“But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.” — Luke 12:5

Just like Pharaoh in the verse above reveals, the SC State Supreme Court has defied the mandates of the Almighty God of the Bible. The Court Justices decided last Thursday that some South Carolinian lives are just not worth as much as other lives. That says plainly it’s ok to murder, at least some, children in the womb! The obvious has blinded the eyes of many as to what that is the in belly of a woman when pregnant, including those who are called to make “righteous judgment”.

Judges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment. Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. — Deuteronomy 16:18-19
Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. — Judges 10:13

The Court voted 3 to 2 to remove protection for child and mother included in the Fetal Heartbeat and Protection from Abortion Act where an unborn child up to 20 weeks gestation may suffer the same fate as Pharaoh decreed upon the Hebrew children in ancient Egypt. Twenty weeks! Really! That’s almost five months! We’re talking a very pregnant woman! A woman who at five months pregnant may have strong feelings toward keeping that baby.

And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name. And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not: Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people. — Leviticus 20:3-5

The above scripture speaks of giving of one’s seed to Molech, this means to make sacrifice and murder the child of one’s body. Isn’t that what we call abortion today? Yes, it is! This act of destroying a child is a crime to be properly handled by a judge.

The very act of offering one’s seed to Molech by making child sacrifice or in todays terms abortion, is defined as defiling the sanctuary of God and profaning his holy name. The Book of Romans at 2:23 says, “Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?”

Sacrificing a child to Molech is an offense so heinous and abominable against the Almighty that it is a capital crime. It further states that the people of the entire community, a jury of ones peers, are accountable to God to make sure that the penalty for the crime is executed, that true justice is carried out. And, if the judge and jury does not convict the one who sacrifices his child to Molech they will be guilty of idolatry by serving another god—spiritual whoredom—and following a law foreign to the Word of the Great Jehovah. The Book of Jeremiah 31:32 says that the Almighty has a covenant with his people and that sacrificing to other gods is forbidden! This applied to judges and witnesses.

Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire [to Molech] for them? — Ezekiel 16:20-21

In Pharaoh’s decree Moses’ mother Jochebed saw the danger to her son, had compassion along with natural affection for her child placing him in a basket. She then floated him down the Nile River covered with bulrushes. In that story Moses was rescued by the Pharaoh’s own daughter and she raised him as her own.

Think about that. Pharaoh had put a death sentence upon all the Hebrew male children. Moses was one of those male children the Pharaoh had demanded his death as a baby. Fortunately for Moses—and us—Moses was cared for by his mother, carefully placed in a small protective boat which we often call an ark, and floated it down the Nile River in hopes that an Egyptian woman may take him as her own son from the ‘River god’. I love that mother, don’t you?

As I said, fortunately for us, Moses was not only spared but raised in the house of Pharaoh, a king by any other name, where he was trained in the best schools of the day to be a knowledgeable military commander for Pharaoh. Later Moses was called away from the house of Pharaoh to serve a greater King. And after spending 40 years in preparation Moses returned to Pharaoh as the servant of the Almighty to lead the Israelites out of their bondage in Egypt.

Because Moses was not murdered as a baby, God used him to release the children of Israel and receive the Ten Commandments, record the Torah, and be recognized as a mighty leader, governor and lawgiver. In fact, even in these United States he is recognized as the principle lawgiver in churches and synagogues across the land and on the frieze over the US Supreme Court building in Washington, DC.

The sad irony in South Carolina is that Moses the great lawgiver, recognized in the highest court in the land, is not respected. He is not respected because the words of the law he received from the Almighty are ignored, and disregarded as not modern, not cool, out of date, etc. What did Moses know anyway? He was only raised in the house of the Egyptian king, trained and learned from the best tutors of that day, even more later he was educated through knowledge and experience by the most high God of the Bible.

So, when South Carolina’s Supreme Court Justice Hearn (along with Justice Few and Chief Justice Beatty) states in her opinion that she holds the right to privacy as extending to a “woman’s decision to have an abortion”. She has unfortunately made a poor decision regarding whom she must give answer, and every single person in South Carolina will suffer because of allowing child sacrifice through abortion unto Molech. And you can call Molech by any name you wish, including convenience, fornication, pre-marital sex, adultery, etc., but it’s all the same result.

It is the role of a judge to uphold what is righteous and wholesome for the entire community not a special privilege for those who do not respect the law. It is still against the law to commit fornication, adultery and murder, isn’t it? Yes, it is, whether the State of SC, representatives of the people or the judges recognize that or not, and many don’t. There is a law that is beyond what is decided by man and is symbolized by Moses atop the US Supreme Court building.

Chief Justice Beatty argued that the law was void from the beginning (void ab initio) as denying “constitutional rights to equal protection” for a woman to have an abortion. This obviously dismisses some life as not having any of those “constitutional rights to equal protection” at almost five months, the same as Pharaoh.

When the State of South Carolina, and her people, representatives and judges return unto the God of our Fathers and his Word, which was the law of this state many years ago, then we will once again be not only a happy people, but blessed beyond measure.

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets. Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the LORD. — Psalms 144:12-15
