Beaten down and demonized, outward masculinity has all but disappeared in young men.
The recent Democratic debates have revealed the intellectual and moral bankruptcy of the modern progressive movement. In both debates, the common denominator was IN the clear attempts OF appeasement of the progressive base by the various Democratic candidates. Many argued in favor of so-called “Medicare For All,” despite the objective economic unsupportability and the overwhelming number of Americans who want to keep their current insurance. Almost all candidates agreed that immigration laws should not be enforced, despite the predictable implosion of society and loss of sovereignty. Unrealistic and irresponsible rhetoric about free college for all and/or forgiveness of all student debt (requiring working class high school grads, formerly the Democratic base, who didn’t attend college and those who paid for their college to up the tab).
Democratic candidates fell all over themselves to proclaim who was the most pro-abortion of the lot. The abortion euphemism “reproductive rights” became transformed to something called “reproductive justice”. Interestingly, as African-American women abort babies at about three times the rate of white women, most would wonder about “justice” in this context. Julian Castro went so far in appeasement as to claim “reproductive justice” applied not only to biological women, but biological men identifying as women (“trans women”). The impossibility of biological men becoming pregnant was not even questioned by the fellow Democrats and Castro’s ridiculous statement was met with loud cheers from the progressive crowd.
Progressives follow a value system which is completely at odds with Biblically-based and Christian value system followed by American political parties throughout much of American history. It’s time for Americans to recognize the danger of the progressive value system, and make clear to the Democratic party they must dump the Progressives or lose all support as a party. It’s critical for America to keep the traditional values system at the heart of our system.
First, the philosophical underpinnings of our laws and government are rooted in a general acknowledgement of of God and the Bible. As Justice William O. Douglas put it: “Our institutions presuppose a Supreme Being.” Political philosopher Samuel Huntington also wrote: “To deny God is to challenge the fundamental principle underlying American society.” As John Adams put it: “This Constitution was written for a moral and religious people, it is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other”. To allow “the people” to control government through their vote and representation required people with a moral value system. The first justification for public education in America (Northwest Ordinance) was stated clearly by Congress: Religion, morality, and knowledge, being necessary to good government and the happiness of mankind, schools and the means of education shall forever be encouraged.
Unlike what the Progressives have pushed as their seeming top value in secularizing America by demanding a “wall of separation between church and state”, neither the Constitution, nor any other early American document, includes this term. This phrase was taken out of context from Thomas Jefferson’s letter to Danbury Baptists, written in 1802. It was later used by the Supreme Court in 1947 to redefine the establishment clause for a secular public square.
The actions of our founders are decisive. The day after passing the First Amendment, Congress overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling for a day of prayer and thanksgiving to God. It read: “We acknowledge with grateful hearts the many signal favors of almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peacefully to establish a constitutional government for their safety and happiness.”
Progressive ideology is not anchored in truth or a tested moral code like the Bible. It is anchored in nothing and becomes irrational, as seen with Castro’s statement about abortion rights for biological men. It would allow for open borders, abortion up to (and at) birth, biological men (trans women) to continue dominating female sports, irrational economic ideas which cannot be sustained, a marginalization of Christians in America, and on and on. In seeing what it has done to the Democratic Party, in 2008 the top Democratic candidates supported traditional marriage and control of the borders, we cannot allow it to ruin America. It is time to stand up for truth and the future of our children.
