Many people think electric cars will solve problems related to hydrocarbon use. It’s obvious they haven’t looked at the science!
Someone said, not unless they were fueled only with electricity made by wind and sunshine. Well, that is just not good enough.
Fully thirty five percent (35%) of every barrel of crude coming out of the ground is never refined into fuels. Instead it is more valuable as chemical feedstock.
Therefore if the lefties in electric cars are giving up hydrocarbons, they are not going to use any plastics, fiberglass, carbon fiber, paint, solvents, oil as a lubricant, coolant, or hydraulic fluid, nylon, foam rubber, and synthetic modern replacements for rubber used in tires.
Then you are getting closer to carbon free. You have eliminated the bumpers, body, dashboard, carpet, upholstery, seatbelts, headliner, insulation on all wiring, the tires, brake pads, headlight and taillight lenses.
Yep, replace all the parts made with hydrocarbons with glass, wood, hemp, cotton. Then use only adhesives actually made from horse hooves.
Pretty soon, you will have a Tesla which Fred Flintstone could recognize.
