Many sources are reporting that two Miami-area banks closed the banking accounts of former President Donald J. Trump. Apparently it’s safe for those who want to bully and abuse former President Donald Trump and his supporters at many local businesses including banks.

Former President Donald J. Trump has suffered the ire of several banks who have closed his accounts.

Bank United announced that they were closing Trump accounts with their bank on Thursday. United said that it held somewhere between $5 and $25 million dollars for Trump as of the end of 2020.

The bank said in an email statement to the Miami Herald that “We never had a lending relationship with Donald Trump and we no longer have any depository relationship with him.”

In addition, Professional Bank, announced last week that it had closed Trump banking accounts. Trump had deposits between $5 and $25 million with Professional Bank which had loaned Trump $11.2 million dollars in 2018 to buy real estate near Trump home Mar-a-Lago.

The Trump Organization did not return a request for comment.

Signature Bank in New York and Deutsche Bank both announced they had cut ties with Trump. The Hill reported that the former President and his business were no longer welcomed.

Eric Trump

Trump’s son, Eric, connected the bank closures with the “cancel culture” phenomenon. Eric Trump was quoted as saying “We live in the age of cancel culture, but this isn’t something that started this week. It is something that they have been doing to us and others for years.” The Miami Herald quoted him as saying “If you disagree with them, if they don’t like you, they try and cancel you.”

Trump was one of, if not the most popular President in US history. Eric Trump quoted in the Western Journal said “You have a man who would get followed to the ends of the Earth by a hundred million Americans… He created the greatest political movement in American history and his opportunities are endless.”

Many thousands of Trump supporters across the country have had their banking accounts closed or blocked by various banks. Our special correspondent in Washington, DC , who goes by the handle MustangMedic, had his PayPal account blocked as well as money denied deposit prior to that.

Dominant news reports have played repetitive news stories that falsely claim that Donald Trump had incited a riot at the US Capitol, when in fact the riot was taking place a full 30-45 minutes prior to Trump urging supporters to “peacefully march” to the Capitol on January 6.

The Standard interviewed an eye-witness who observed rioters marching down Constitution Avenue toward the Capitol changing their clothes from riot gear into Trump attire while Trump was still speaking. “Teresa” said that these were observed to later attack the US Capitol building. (Due to fear of reprisal only a first name is being used).
