The black and white—and innocent—days of Disney are long gone. Walt Disney died in 1966, 57 years ago this December. The above is an opening scene of a typical Walt Disney presents program. Photo courtesy Internet Archive video still.
I grew up watching Walt Disney movies and Sunday evening TV programs. My entire family would habitually gather around the old black and white television set, adjust the “rabbit ears” for the best signal and settle in for good wholesome family entertainment. I remember many laughs, tears and fascinating stories as Walt Disney himself explained how they discovered this, or found that or who did something else. Millions of people did the same way back when. Then, in 1966, Walt Disney died.
noticed it at first, but over time Disney productions changed. Most of us who had grown up with the wholesome Walt Disney Presents, and Disney movies the movie corporation patriarch was off the air longer watching the programs. Unfortunately, when Disney passed, nefarious leadership took the helm, and ever so gradually every year since then Disney’s company has grown into a breeding ground for rude, inappropriate and lascivious material to some of the most vile media today, albeit often somewhat hidden throughout their films. Sadly, today, Disney is no longer known for wholesome family films but rather movies that feature satanism and anti-Christian themes. Photo courtesy
Disney CEO Bob Iger and chief financial officer Christine McCarthy announced plans to “remove some content from its streaming services after revealing Disney Plus had lost 4 million subscribers in the first three months of 2023″. The Disney execs announced they will begin pulling content off the air after reviewing which content to keep.
This comes after reportedly losing “$123 billion of its market value” in 2022 and its stock drop 44 percent. Disney’s plummet began in 2021 when it was then reported that CEO Bob Iger sold off about $100 million in Disney Stock at $179 per share. At this writing the stock resides at about $87 per share.
The entertainment giant then got into a losing battle with the State of Florida losing certain privileges concerning taxes, and this year has laid off over 7,000 employees. Compound that with the hard lesson many “woke” retail operations are learning, and many regular everyday people are saying, that when a company “go[es] woke, [they] go broke”.
That “woke” decision comes after other media are discovering a backlash against promotion of what many in America call evil this year. Movie Guide Chairman and founder Ted Baehr said recently regarding programs like Little Demon and others that he wants to keep “twisted and disturbing content from corrupting our children’s values and beliefs.”
Obviously, declining subscriber action along with other declines have caught the attention of the Disney bean counters as the entertainment giant swooped in to demonize our nation’s most precious asset—our children! The decision to introduce the programming took an awful turn that concerned parents and citizens alike. Large corporations, especially in media and communications, often get by with making money off of vile and irreverent programs targeted at kids that are not even suitable for American adults.
Last fall in a Facebook post that went viral, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) railed against a television program series starring Danny DeVito, all about evil and the “devil” named “Little Demon“. The Standard’s Lisa Rudisill wrote about the series last summer.
Rudisill wrote that during a televised Louisiana State University football game Johnson discovered the series in a promotion trailer. Johnson called the program “satanic imagery”. Newsweek quoted the Louisiana Congressman as saying “The trailer included dark images of Hell, demons, and satanic imagery, and an explanation that the main character is… the Antichrist.” His Facebook post described the scene as a young girl presented as the daughter of a witch and Satan.
“I couldn’t get to the remote fast enough to shield my 11-year-old from the preview, and I wonder how many other children were exposed to it — and how many millions more will tune in to the new series, owned and marketed by DISNEY,” Johnson wrote. “Disney and FX have decided to embrace and market what is clearly evil.”
The past few years Lexington County, South Carolina, and much of America, is and has been “fighting with school authorities over the push of Critical Race Theory‘s Marxist-inspired concepts replacing traditional history in classrooms. That has been accompanied by LGBTQ promoted teaching in local Lexington and Richland SC school health and other classes including instruction on how to become “transgender” in District 1.Now our children are to be subjected to a Disney produced FX cartoon “sitcom” entitled “Little Demon” that is laced with unfit images and plots,” said Rudisill.
The series is described as “an adult animated sitcom created by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner and Kieran Valla that premiered on FXX on August 25, 2022. The series features the voices of Aubrey Plaza, Danny DeVito, and Lucy DeVito. The series is the first show produced by Atomic Cartoons aimed at an adult audience.
According to the preview, the series includes dark images of Hell, demons, and Satanic imagery. The main character is the AntiChrist. Disney states in its summary: “Thirteen years after being impregnated by Satan, a reluctant mother, Laura, and her AntiChrist daughter, Chrissy, attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware, but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.”
Congressman Johnson quotes the actress who voices Laura, who states in an interview: “I love that we are normalizing Paganism. Laura is a Pagan. She’s a witch. She’s jacked.”
Rudisill noted in her article that “Chrissy reduces three of her classmates to “red goo” and shrugs the murders off with an “easy-breezy attitude that sets the tone for the rest of the ‘Little Demon’ series.” Johnson also noted action like a man punching a hole in his own face and words stating, “Let’s go boil some babies while their heads are still soft.””
Congressman Johnson stated his belief that we should “be careful. Our job as parents is to guard the hearts and minds of our kids… this is not a game,” He believes that Disney and FX have decided to “embrace and market what is clearly evil.”
In The Standard article, Rudisill said that this episode in evil was not the first anti-Christian action.
She said others are involved in the promotion of evil to eat up the minds of our children and destroy our country. What most must realize is that as a nation founded on Christ and the Bible we are in a war for the hearts and minds of not only our children but all of America and our very nation.
In June 2023 The Freedom from Religion Foundation ran a full page advertisement in The New York Times stating “Christian nationalists are endangering our secular democracy.” The FFRF claims Christian “assaults on American liberty” which they say impedes their freedom. The FFRF lists “abortion bans, targeting of LGBTQ youth and “book bans, hecklers’ vetoes and laws against teaching facts that don’t square with white Christian nationalism” as the cause for their displeasure.
Last fall Rudisill wrote:
“Equally shocking in its more solidly real way is a recent commercial break on a major news network this summer: CBS. During a regular evening news broadcast of CBS, a commercial was run on the internet for the “Freedom From Religion Foundation,” or the FFRF—a clearly anti-religious group that has been active across America over the past decade and a half plus.
While the name may sound innocent—for as Americans, we believe all people have a right to worship as they desire, or not–, this group has worked very hard to displace the Christian religion in America. This commercial promoted a group with a clear political agenda to remove Christianity from all areas of the public sphere in our nation. It begins with the FFRF leader introducing himself. “Hello, I am an atheist,” he clearly states, for primetime viewers.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation has entered multiple lawsuits forcing small towns to remove Christian symbols from government-owned property. In King, North Carolina, in one of its early cases, the symbol in question was a metal silhouette of a soldier kneeling at a cross placed in a town memorial park created to honor veterans. In that case, the town was forced to remove the monument—and to pay over $100,000 in legal fees to cover the Freedom From Religion Foundation’s lawyers, quite a sum for a small town.
Other small towns have been targeted, primarily because the Foundation knows that small towns have small budgets for legal cases and very often will choose not to fight a legal battle that they might lose. Jay, Florida was one such town which removed its nativity scene from government property after threats by the Freedom From Religion Foundation. Another small North Carolina town, Dallas, also was forced to remove its nativity scene from the courthouse square.
It is apparent this nation is about to drown in its own filth and sewerage unless the attitude of the majority of people exhibit what they say they believe. Much of this filth being spewed is from the mouth of the Hollywood ‘elite’ who daily influence millions through full feature movies, television programs, social media, direct to consumer videos and products, school video presentations, etc., which promote everything from same-sex unions to pedophilia to witchcraft and anti-Christian beliefs.
As an aside, I have recently read that actor Mel Gibson has a planned expose of the pedophilia ring in Hollywood and their circle of violators who engage in child sex trafficking. Gibson has come under verbal attack for his Christian stance and it is rumored that he could even face physical danger if he continues the exposure.
It is not enough to just turn off movies…
It is not enough to just turn off movies and TV programs, etc. For the evil to stop, citizens must as the scriptures say, “examine” themselves to see if they are really in the faith. Then they must work in unison to pushback against the promotion of the smut by not purchasing even remotely questionable programming, and standing against it publicly, privately, through elected representatives, and direct action at school, town and county meetings. In America, citizens are still afforded the choice of whether to take action themselves or not, if they so desire.
CBN News commentator Gary Lane said in a recent broadcast, “I’m not encouraging a boycott of Disney, that’s for you to decide as parents.” Lane added, “but you should let Disney know how you feel.”
He continued “I can’t imagine Walt Disney would have approved of a series like [this] or the company’s anti- family agenda… We can’t just wave a wand like the fairy godmother in Cinderella… and Disney return to the way they were… years ago. Those days are gone!” He said further, that “when the family friendly public expresses outrage and says we’ve had enough, we’re not buying what you’re selling, it gets the attention of stockholders who lose money because of bad decisions.”
If Christians will come out from their hiding place, America can once again be a great nation!
