Thank you! I can say no more than a sincere thank you from my heart!
Those close to this writer and The Standard know that this publisher suffered a horrible fight with the Covid CCP virus illness recently for over eight weeks. It was like fighting a raging tiger that wanted to destroy and devour me!
As some of you know I self-treated at home with prescribed medicine, home remedies and prayer which I think was also a bonus for my healing over the duration of the sickness. Thankfully, that ‘tiger’ did not prevail against me! I was able to overcome the dreadful disease by the prayers of the faithful to the Almighty on my behalf. The LORD alone chooses when and who has finished their race on this earth, and who has not, based on his purposes that only he knows as to why he wants to fulfill. Since I survived, I take that to mean I have more work to accomplish for his glory! And I’m thankful he delivered me for that work.
During my battle with the ‘monster’ I struggled for sheer survival, slept excessively, consumed more water than I can ever remember, looked like death warmed over and lost 25 pounds! I’ve been asked to write a book about my experience and what I did to overcome the monster. I have threatened to write a book on ‘How to Drastically Lose Weight Rapidly’, but you may not want to try it! All kidding aside I am writing that book on my personal experience on ‘How to Survive Covid at Home’.
And by the way, as much as it may not make sense to some, I am thankful I had the CCP Virus! It helped me to refocus on how I was living, how I was taking care of my health, what I was doing, and what I need to be doing in the days to come. I’m thankful for those who called to check up on me. I’m even thankful for those who called me ugly names because they don’t agree with my opinions. That helped me to understand their character, or lack thereof, better. I’m thankful for the aches and discomfort that came with the CCP Virus so I can be more appreciative of the good health that I normally take for granted. It was a tough battle, but I came through. The scripture tells us to be thankful in all things. I never understood that when I was younger, but I think I have a better understanding of it now.
“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” Psalm 34:7
Most of all this article is a general “Thank you” to all those who have been concerned about and prayed for this publisher during my late illness. It’s also for those who prayed for my good welfare everyday and at various other times throughout the year. I appreciate your prayers for healing, well being and protection, they are welcomed and needed. Anyone who has ever dared to present information or give opinions that may be contrary or not be agreeable to someone else knows that it can at times be hazardous to your well being. And speaking of different opinions, No, I did not take the vaccine and I have had plenty of people who have called me ugly names for not doing so. Thankfully, we still live in America where people can make up their own mind about the kind of things that concern their body and their property, right?
Your prayers brought God’s healing touch.
I had folk praying for me, bringing vitamins, food, medicine, peaches, elderberry syrup, chicken salad, body armor, financial relief to pay bills, ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, requested items, etc., I even had someone send me recorded songs to cheer me up while I was sick. I don’t even know who all was praying (I’m finding new ones weekly), but they cared enough to bring my name before the throne of Grace. Among those I know specifically who were praying and contributed in some physical way to my recovery are (in no particular order):

Regardless, thank you for caring and investing your time and energy to lift up my name to the LORD for my healing and recovery!

Please, continue to remember this publisher in your prayers. Also, pray for the Grande Dame known as America, she is being abused, neglected and is suffering terribly from mismanagement and bad leadership right now. I think of the hymn America, the Beautiful, which has a phrase in there that says ‘God shed his grace on thee’. Indeed his grace has been shed on America, unfortunately we as a whole have neglected our duties and responsibilities to our country, often times literally kicking his grace in the face and we now suffer from a disease just as real as the Covid I suffered with—and just as deadly! The CCP virus was deadly enough that it cost five of my friends their lives and was trying to maul me! America will suffer the same fate if not healed of her sinful infirmity!
America’s problems are many, but I think she will be restored when we fall on our knees before the Almighty God of Heaven and turn from our wayward, neglectful and sinful ways and repent. We must work doing everything humanly possible to correct the wrongs and get back to the ways of God. If we’ll do that I’m sure he will hear our cries and restore our land to the richness and fulness of his glory. It’s all a matter of us doing what he’s called us to do already and standing against the wrong wherever we see it.
I think I’m back to full strength and there are lots of things we will be writing about that will expose, reveal and reprove some of the ills of our community, state and nation.
