In case you missed it, Florida Republican and Freedom Caucus member Rep. Anna Paulina Luna is after California Rep. Adam Schiff for lying when he was Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee for political gain. Luna, a member of the House Oversight Committee, in an interview with Fox News commentator Maria Bartiromo, said Schiff falsely claimed there was traitorous “collusion” between then sitting President Trump and Russian agents without presenting pertinent evidence to back claims of the alleged collusion.

For his role in driving the false Trump-Russia collusion claim Luna has called for Schiff’s censure, expulsion from the House of Representatives, and a $16 million dollar fine. She stated, “He is a criminal. What he did was  wrong… Adam Schiff, you will be held accountable.”

She noted that “The same day House Oversight got access to the FBI form stating that Joe Biden received $5 million bribery transaction while Vice-President… they indicted President Trump again.” She said “They’re covering the Biden family.”

In the interview on Fox, Luna said, “I have a privileged resolution that I’m bringing to the floor, and we are going to fine that man (Schiff)16 million dollars for using his position to lie to the American people, and ultimately push something that not only destroyed our country but ripped us apart and I believe, maybe even permanently damaging foreign relations. He is a criminal and Adam Schiff; you will be held accountable.”

“And yet, he was privileged to information that not even I or many of my colleagues would be able to see,” Luna noted. “He used that position. He absolutely aided and abetted a corrupt FBI into investigating a sitting president.”

In May, Luna filed a “privileged resolution” against Schiff. She Tweeted, “I just filed a privileged resolution, H. Res. 437, to censure, condemn, & fine Rep. Adam Schiff $16 million (1/2 the cost of Russia investigation) for his egregious abuse of trust. I, with my GOP colleagues, look forward to an imminent vote to hold this feckless man accountable”.

Following Special Counsel John Durham’s report Luna introduced a measure to expel Schiff from the House of Representatives. The report revealed that he had repeatedly lied about “collusion” between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.

Luna said that for years Schiff repeatedly lied to the country claiming he had “evidence” of collusion while launching needless “investigations” into the allegation.

“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” Luna said. “He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman.

“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives. The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” she added.

Schiff was accused in January this year of leaking highly classified information for years in order to damage then President Trump. Former CIA Director and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Schiff of leaking the  classified information while he was chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Pompeo said in a Fox News interview that Schiff “almost ruined the committee” with his leadership.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo revealed Adam Schiff was lying and leaking classified information.

Pompeo also said he was forced to limit how much information he gave to Schiff and his staff out of fear that it would be weaponized and selectively leaked to the media. “During my time as CIA director and secretary of state, I know that he leaked classified information that had been provided to him,” Pompeo said.

The Standard reported this year that Schiff and Eric Swalwell were both ousted from the Intelligence Committee. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, told Fox News in February that “Swalwell can’t get a security clearance in the private sector, why would we ever give him a security clearance to the secrets of America?” McCarthy went on to say that he would “not allow” Swalwell or Schiff to be on any Intelligence Committee.

Leaking classified intelligence information is a felony at a minimum, and can be considered treason in America. Pompeo said. “…when we provided information to him and to his staff, it ended up in places it shouldn’t have been with alarming regularity. We could see it. In the end… I held back information from them as a result.”

Schiff authored a book about the Russia investigation and is now running for US Senate. Should he win the seat, it is conceivable he could be named to another committee in the Senate with access to classified intelligence information.

Only five members of Congress have ever been expelled.
