On May 5, 2021, a vote was taken on House Bill H.3094, a motion to table Amendment 4a in the SC House of Representatives supporting Constitutional Carry. A “Yea” vote was to table, a “Nay” vote was in favor of Constitutional Carry.
Of the following 42 Republican legislators many claim to be conservatives. Yet, they have violated their sworn oath to protect and defend the Constitutions of this state and of the United States. These moderates, are often times called “RINO’s” or Republican in Name Only, are part of the cabal that has led the SC Republican legislature to be named as the “most liberal” in the country.
The following list of Republican Representatives voted to deny citizens of South Carolina their secured 2nd Amendment rights as guaranteed under the US and SC Constitutions. In the interest of transparency they are included in the list below:
Rita Allison, William Bailey, Nathan Ballantine, Bruce Bannister, Lin Bennett, Jeff Bradley, Case Brittain, Micah Caskey, Neal Collins, West Cox, Heather Crawford, Vic Dabney, Jason Elliott, Cal Forrest, Craig Gagnon, Kevin Hardee, Bill Herbkersman, Lee Hewitt, Max Hyde, Jeff Johnson, Jay Jordan, Mandy Kimmons, Randy Ligon, Phillip Lowe, Speaker of the House Jay Lucas, Sandy McGarry, Tim McGinnis, Steve Moss, Chris Murphy, Brandon Newton, Weston Newton, Bill Sandifer, Garry Smith, Mark Smith, Bill Taylor, Anne Thayer, Ashley Trantham, Jay West, Brian White, Chris Wooten, Bill Whitmire, Richie Yow.
Former slave and abolitionist leader Frederick Douglass, became famous for his oratorical abilities and writings. That truth is still applicable today:
“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress.”
Malcolm Little, also known as Malcom X, revealed another nugget of truth when he said, “If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”
What we as a people must understand is that gun control is about people control. That determines who has the ability to defend themselves against oppressors, criminals and tyrants. It ultimately determines whether you are a citizen or a slave. It determines—if push comes to shove—who will have absolute power, and all tyrannies call for gun control to protect” the people.
That is why the founding fathers of the United States were urged by patriot Patrick Henry to adopt the Bill of Rights to enumerate the most basic God given rights to all men. These rights are listed with the 2nd detailing the fact that the ownership and possession of “arms shall not be infringed”.
The founders dealt first hand with a tyrant named King George, we should note the importance they placed on arms.

The Constitution of South Carolina states in Article 1 Section 20:
SECTION 20. Right to keep and bear arms; armies; military power subordinate to civil authority; how soldiers quartered.
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. As, in times of peace, armies are dangerous to liberty, they shall not be maintained without the consent of the General Assembly. The military power of the State shall always be held in subordination to the civil authority and be governed by it. No soldier shall in time of peace be quartered in any house without the consent of the owner nor in time of war but in the manner prescribed by law. (1970 (56) 2684; 1971 (57) 315.)
