A small group of around twenty citizens gathered in front of Columbia City Hall this morning to protest a permit to paint Black Lives Matter slogans and murals on Main Street and in the Rosewood section of town.

The group was led by Pamela Godwin, the Midlands Director for the SC Women for Trump organization. Godwin says the BLM organization is a “domestic terrorist organization” that stands for “tearing down the traditional family”. Godwin claimed that BLM are “self proclaimed trained Marxists” and want to “defund police.”

The Standard researched the accusation and proved that it is accurate. A 2015 video has Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors describing herself and co-founder Alicia Garza as “trained Marxists”.

Cullors, one of BLM’s co-founders, admitted that the group is lead by trained Marxists who have the ultimate goal of ousting President Trump from office. She said, “I think that the criticism is helpful. I think the first thing is we do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia, in particular, are trained organizers,” she explained during an interview with The Real News Now. “We are trained Marxists. We are super versed on ideological theories.”

A Republican National Committee video on BLM, says, “This isn’t about justice, it’s about destroying America,”

Investigation of the Black Lives Matter website revealed that the BLM group has 14 chapters across the country with three in Canada. Rumor has it that a BLM chapter may be opening on Columbia’s Main Street soon.

Godwin says that her group is pro-police. She said that they were also “on Main Street to show support for SC and SC values.”
