A developing story at Harbison Mall in Irmo, SC has a shooting with at least 12 people injured reported. Over 40 unmarked law enforcement vehicles and over 10 EMS vehicles including an EMS bus are reported to be onsite as of 3:00pm today. An eyewitness could not confirm any more specific details. At this time Harbison Mall is blockaded by police.

According to the Columbia Police Department (CPD) it appears that a gunman fired shots in the mall injuring many people with CPD responding around 2:03pm Saturday. CPD reported that approximately 12 people have been injured and that medical crew are on hand and transporting injured mall patrons.

Richland County deputies are on the scene assisting with an incident, a spokesperson for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.

Facebook and Twitter posts are being posted by people claiming to be at the mall when shots were fired.

Those separated from friends and family involved in the Columbiana Mall shooting are being directed to the Fairfield Inn at 320 Columbiana Drive. The staging area will be Don Tequila’s at 114 Afton Court.
