Hey! Listen up … we’ve got a story to tell and a small favor to ask.

The Standard has a mission to inform our community with Real News. We know the knowledge we provide through the news, coupled with understanding, helps everybody to make better decisions. Everybody wants the truth with no spin. We give you facts and truth about news in your world. A News provider like The Standard’s independent, investigative journalism is needed now more than ever before!

For example, The Standard’s own Edna San Miguel broke a major news story that went nationwide and was picked up by national television networks with her article entitled “Border Hopping Children.” She discovered children smuggling people coming across our southern borders for purposes of pedophilia and profit. Disgusting as the truth is, we uncovered a dark secret taking place on our border.

We’ve also had others news stories, like the one our education writer Johnnelle Raines broke, titled: “Are Your Kids Getting a Daily Dose of News Propaganda in Lexington County District One?” Several thousand people read that article alone within hours after it was posted! Our readers want to know what is taking place within local SC schools.

We’ve also got our opinions, with Conservative Views, about the way the world operates – yes, everybody has one, including each of our writers, We make no bones about that. We give that to our readers on the Opinion page, not the news page. We opine on the pressing issues of the day locally and nationally with thoughtful and well reasoned opinion. Many media outlets and News organizations won’t even allow you to see their content unless and until you subscribe or pay large subscription prices. I understand, you’ve got to pay the bills somehow, and large and small media have expenses they’ve got to cover. But, here is where we hope to operate very differently from most News organizations. We allow all our readers accessibility to our articles and opinion regardless of where they live or what they can afford with No paywall or limitations thus far, and we’d like to keep it that way. The difference is we Must depend on the generosity of our readers and the value they see in our mission to restore integrity to news reporting with Real News and the moral value we bring in our opinion and commentary.
